 Japanese: Affixing Memories English: Bonding Memories Airdates Japan: March 20, 2004 USA: April 24, 2005 UK: Unknown Australia: Unknown Synopsis: Scar is at the Ishbal encampment again being treated by the 2 kids from last time he was there. The Military arrive and trash the place. One of the Military appears to be an Alchemist. Al is alone and remember what he said to Ed. We see the 2 kids from the camp running after stealing some food to survive. The hide behind Al who then goes with them. Ed and Winry are looking for Al and ironically he is below them at the new mini Ishbalan settlement. Scar is with them and tells Al that the Military attacked again. He asks her Ed is and Al replies he doesn't care. The yongest of the 2 boys Ric realises he's lost a locket that belonged to his mum. Ric runs to find it and he older brother Leo runs after him. Scar says he'll bring them back. Al follows him and asks Scar if he senses anything human in him. Scar doesn't reply. The 'Alchemist' from earlier sees Ric and Leo, Al and Scar find them and the locket. We see the Furhers secretary take a call and she orders whoever it is to follow them. Military move in on the quad and attack, they take ric and leave while Al and Scar fight off to keep Leo safe. Al finds out from Ross that the kidnappers are using an old facility (and they are on their own). Al, Scar, Leo and the Old Man Ishbalan follow. Ross phones Winry and Ed telling them Al is in something strange. Leo reveals that during the Ishbal massacre he stretched out to his mother but she ran to her room which then blew up. Al and co arrive at the facility and Al uses Alchemy to trap most of the guards. The 'Alchemist' goes after Scar as Barry is seen with them and he and Al go at it again. Ed and Winry turn up and Ed and Al end up together. Ed then asks Al if he hates him (that is what he wanted to say all along). Al says no and ends up thwapping Barry. The 'Alchemist' does his thing with his backpack and daggers on Scar but it doesn't phase him. Scar then smacks him one and then breaks Barry down and throws him onto the 'Alchemist'. His pack then explodes causing an off shot dagger to hit Ric in the chest. Scar then crushes Barry's skull mask thus destroying Barry's seal. Ric is ok thanks to the locket (it hit that). The boys find out from the old man that their mother was blind and so she didn't know where they were. With the Furhers secretary the 'Alchemist' asks her why it didn't go right. She then chokes him by making her arm into what seems like water - hmm XD Al now knows his memories are real. The Ishbalans thank Al. Scar tells Al that he did sense something from Al - tears that are human. Scar informs Ed that his people wanted a stone in order to stop the military from wiping out his people. he then leaves with the Ishbalans down river. The boys and Winry then walk away together and they remember when Ed and Al fought over silly things such as the top bunk - not to mention Ed never won any of them.
