 Japanese: Philosopher's Stone English: The Philosopher's Stone Airdates Japan: November 22, 2003 USA: January 1st, 2005 UK: Unknown Australia: Unknown Synopsis: Written by vande Both boys cry for Nina as Hawkeye and Roy talk over the events. Roy comes and talks to Ed about the past and tells him to get on with life. Hughes arrives to see the carnage as Ed leaves. Havoc talks to Ed about his first assignment. He has to organise Tuckers research/the animals that Tucker left. We then find out Tucker didn't get a trial he was simply executes by firing squad. Al finds some of Tuckers Philosopher Stone research and the boys then argue. Ed goes to talk to Roy and hands in his watch as he can't work at Tuckers house. He then goes to investigate the serial killer murders. Ed meets Scar again who leave saying his arm would have destroyed Ed should Ed have still been in the military. We see Winry get off a train on her way to come and see the boys. Al talks to Hawkeye about the Philosopher Stone. She gives him all the info she can in which the rest only a State Alchemist can get hold of. King Brad is listening and talks to Al who then leaves. In the food hall Hughes talks to Ed and has given him some classifed info on the serial killings. Ed also thinks Nina/Chimera murder may have been the work of the same guy. We then see a woman delivering supplies and the cook shows her Ed who is just leaving the hall after being told he has a visitor. Winry is outside and sees one of the 'new fridge trucks' and wants to take it apart. The woman comes outside and finds Winry looking and says she can look inside it. Ed finds a bolt outside as well as Winry's luggage and knows she is in danger when told that the truck that was parked here is missing. Ed figures the truck could be used to move the bodies by the killer and that Winry needs help fast. He finds the truck and finds the woman cowering she points away and then smacks Ed. When he wakes he finds his metal arm is removed. The woman then reveals herself as a man: Barry the Butcher and that indeed he has Winry and she is intended to be his next victim. He cuts Ed who has secretly made a transmutation circle behind him and activates it. Ed escapes and uses a poll to cut Barry. He grabs him arm and reattatches it. Winry slips from her podium knocking some meat into Barry who falls. Ed goes to kill Barry but he is stopped by Al. The military then enter. We find Hughes realised the trucks from Barry's had bypassed the checks and so they found Ed. Al tells Ed about what Hawkeye + King Brad told him about the Philosopher Stone and that only a State Alchemist can get more info. Ed then breaks down into tears again. Ed goes back to Roy and tells him that he will obey the military if he can search for the stone when his duties are done so Roy says he'll keep that secret to keep Ed in line. Ed is then given a document that has come from King Brad. Roy explains that all Alchemists are given a title in the document is Eds yes him being the Full Metal Alchemist. Ed is then seen with Al he knows that Barry didn't kill Nina/Chimera but he wonders who did just as he walks past an ally that has Scar residing in it who then sees the chain to Eds watch.
