 Japanese: Theory of Avarice English: Theory of Avarice Airdates Japan: June 05, 2004 USA: November 05, 2005 UK: Unknown Australia: Unknown Synopsis: At the meat shop Winry is alone awaiting news. Ed is annoyed at being held by the military. Archer grants Kimblee and Tucker safety. He orders that all in the Devils Nest be killed including civilians. He also now has the thing that Kimblee took from the safe. We see the Rat Chimera dude dead. Greed and co running, Dorchet killing Military as they go. Armstrong arrives and wants Al. Outside on a roof are Lust and Gluttony. They say how it was Sloth's fault that Greed escaped and how ruthless she is. Armstrong and the Wolf Chimera start to fight. Turns out the wolf worked under Armstrong at some point. The Wolf dude makes their get away by blocking the tunnel. Greed tells Armstrong to inform Kimblee and Tucker they've thrown their lives away. Ed, Izumi and hubby have left dummies of themselves and have escaped. Greed, Dorchet, Marta, Wolf guy are the only ones left of the gang. Lust and Gluttony have followed them to the building they are in. Lust introduces herself as the 'new lust' to Greed who already knows Gluttony. We are told that Greed was sealed away for defying the lead Homunculi. Dorchet + Wolfman tell Greed and Al/Marta to run for it while they stop the Homunculi. Greed is reluctant to leave but ends up going leaving the 2 guys to fight. Ed is on his ways to Dante's. When alone Greed tells Al/Marta to stay in the woods while he goes to Dante's and if he isn't back by day light they are to carry on without him. Greed makes it to Dante's but has been followed by Lust + Gluttony and it's clear that Gluttony has eaten the duo. Lyra greets Greed, she knows he was created here at Dante's. Greeds bones are on a table. We then see Dante is dead. Greed sees an array and knows something isn't quite right with Lyra. The array 'starts up' and Greed begins to get weaker throwing up stones. He manages to get out of the array as Ed turns up and blames him for killing Dante. Greed turns into his demon form and begins to fight with Ed. Ed uses alchemy on Greed and hurts him. He has figured out that Greeds 'Ultimate Shield' is Carbon intensified to make him hard. (ok that didn't sound right). Ed continues to wear Greed down until he manages to stab Greed. Greed turns back to normal and tells Ed he left Al in the woods. He then tells how Homunculi are weak when near to the bones of whom they were created from and this is the secret on killing the others. His only wish is for Ed to cut the strings of control. Greed then dies his body breaks down into nothing. The bundle that Archer and Kimblee have breaks down. Kimblee just smiles. Light breaks leaving Al alone. At Dante's Ed, Al and Izumi are at 2 graves. Ed states that Lyra has gone. Ed, Al and Winry leave Izumi and hubby to search for the Ishbalan people.
